Photog to Watch: Diego Diaz Marin
Earlier this week we I caught up with Italian fashion photographer, Diego Diaz Marin. Born in Spain, Marin is now based in Italy. His unique and vibrant style has earned him repeat placements on Vogue Italia and growing worldwide recognition. His latest shoot was was the Aquazzura spring/summer 2012 campaign, which he was happy to share with us here at Seven Halos.

Tell us about your shooting style. I’ve noticed you like very vivid colors and have an appreciation for the human form.
I always want to show the eccentricity, the color and the light of my hometown(Torre Del Mar,Spain) I really like to mix different themes like sex and religion, crazy and elegance….
What is the background for the Aquazzura shoot, the inspiration for it?
This shoot happened in Florence, but is inspired by the vision of a tropical place in 90′s, like la Costa Del Sol, Miami or Capri.
Do you feel current fashion trends influences your style of shooting at the time?
Yes, because i think that all is linked with fashion trends, art photography…everything.
What can we expect to see from you in the years to come?
I don’t know,hehhe…I really like what I do now, but maybe in the future I want to try making videos, films.
