Paris Couture Show F/W 11-12: Capriole by Iris Van Herpen
The privileged guests of the Paris Couture show for Fall-Winter 2011-12 had not only the opportunity to watch the extravaganza of the established couture houses, but also to watch the debut of 27 year old, Iris Van Herpen, with a collection that could be described as a line-up of craftsmanship.
A graduated from ARTEZ (Arnhem) with a Fashion Design degree, Harpen interned with Claudy Jongstra and Alexander McQueen whom influence is apparent in her style and techniques. Her collects create a unique type of couture that combines hand-worked materials with effects of digital technology. In her latest collection Capriole, present some architectural looks developed using this combined technique.
