Artist of the Month: Robin Rhode – Street Art

I came across this artist through yet another random stumble on the internet. His name is Robin Rhode, a South African artist. In addition to creating masterful street treats, he is a photographer, digital artist, and performer who bases his shows off his own drawing.

Rhodes uses everyday media like charcoal, chalk and paint to creat his works of art. His canvas is usually some public space, like a wall, basketball court or sidewalk. As a result, his works stand out through their simplicity, emphasizing the idea instead of a lavish presentation.
