Man Down! – Rihanna’s New Video
Rihanna is embracing her island roots on the reggae-infused Loud track “Man Down.”
Appearing engrossed by a range of emotions in the opening scene for the video “Man Down” as she coldly ends a man’s life without contemplating the consequences. Giving life to the lyrics of “Man Down,” Rihanna reminisces on events from the previous day which led her to murdering a man. Enraged, she seeks revenge without the aid of authority figures in the video for “Man Down.”
In a Recent interview, Rihanna tells MTV news, ” ‘Man Down’ is gangsta! It comes from me trying to achieve that [vibe],” she told MTV News. “I’m super inspired by reggae music [and it] has been a part of me since I was born, and I grew up listening to it. I grew up loving it. My favorite artists are all reggae artists.”
