NeckLush: Still necking

necklush t-shirt scarves on seven halosI am proud to say that I’ve been a fan of Necklush for almost 2 years now. They were my first post when I started Seven Halos. Back then, they were just a small brand embarking on a big journey. They have been getting an insane amount of press lately, everything from TimeOut NY, Womens Health, Us weekly, Seventeen, and countless blogs.   I’m so glad to see this duo getting the attention they deserve.

Check out my Necklush: Start Necking post in the archives and read their latest write up in Fashionablymarketing.me below.

Fresh out of Brooklyn, New York, Stephano Diaz and Troy Mattison Hicks discovered their new handmade accessory line, Necklush for men and women.  The two creative minds started to sell their handcrafted accessories on the streets of NYC in 2008, where they instantly became a hit.

Their fascinating and unique neck jewelry provides a hip and casual style for the indie and urban audiences.  They are all hand colored or printed and tied in two tiers making them adjustable.  The neat thing is it gives the buyers a chance to be creative when wearing their Necklush jewelry.  The creativity is put in the hands of the consumer where they can decide how to wear, drape, or tie their Necklush.  The scarf and cowl like accessories are made of many seamless cotton loops, which make for many different fashions and styles.  Necklush has even made the stride to “go green,” with the option of organic cottons.  They also try to use of all non-toxic products in their dyes.

Not only are Necklush’s creations spectacular, but also they are proud sponsors of Haiti relief work and contributors to the charitable organization, The Gerson Institute.  They strive to help raise money for this charity because they believe it is important to find alternative and non-toxic ways for all treatments of cancer.  Necklush is sold in a variety of different museums such as the Santa Monica Museum and The Institute of Contemporary Art Boston as well as many diverse online designer venues like fashionstake, etsy, Supermarket, their own website and more.  Both Stephano and Troy still create each individual Necklush piece by hand in their Brooklyn, NY studio.
