Louis Vuitton has a new man in charge of menswear: Kim Jones
Louis Vuitton has a new man in charge of menswear. Former Dunhill creative director Kim Jones is taking over the style directing reigns from Paul Helbers who is leaving to pursue other projects.
Jones will take the title ‘Men Ready-to-wear Studio and Style Director’ working under the artistic direction of Marc Jacobs.
Jones had been under the radar since leaving Dunhill a few seasons ago. The rumours were swirling for a few days prior to the official announcement made by Jones on his twitter the morning of march 11th.
We’re expecting great things from the man with a very impressive resume. The British Fashion Council has twice named Jones its Menswear Designer of the year, in 2006 and 2009. Jones has previously worked for several brands like Mulberry, Alexander McQueen, Hugo Boss and Iceberg, and most recently served as creative director at Dunhill. Apart from being a designer, Kim Jones has also contributed both as Stylist and Art Director for fashion magazines including Dazed and Confused, the New York Times T Style magazine, V Man, i-D magazine, Numero Homme and Fantastic Man.
